The Chamber, WEF, A.M. DePrisco &
Golf |
|
What do the Chamber, WEF, A.M. DePrisco Wellesley and Golf
have in common?
The Wellesley Chamber Golf Open will be
held at the Wellesley Country Club on Monday, July 19. A
portion of the proceeds from the 2010 Chamber Open will be
donated to Wellesley Education Foundation.
A.M.
DePrisco Wellesley offers... A Great way to DOUBLE your gift
to WEF ...hitting the "GREEN" if you know what I
mean!
Golfers at the Chamber Open will have a
chance to double their contribution to the Wellesley Education
Foundation (WEF)! At the 7th hole--a downhill 188 yard par
three--anyone who reaches the green on their drive will have
their gift doubled through the generosity of A.M. DePrisco
Wellesley.
The goal is to raise as much for WEF as
possible in order for them to increase their funds from this
tournament to meet their stated Mission to offer programs that
enhance, enrich and maintain excellence in the Wellesley
Public Schools. This is truly a WIN, WIN contest with WEF
raising funds and A.M. DePrisco Wellesley making a major
contribution on behalf of the youth in Wellesley.
A.M.
DePrisco Wellesley, a long time supporter of the Wellesley
Chamber, continues the tradition of reaching the youth of the
town by encouraging the Open contestants to 'HIT the GREEN'
for WEF! |

Putt for Cash Contest |
|
All players will have an opportunity to putt for entry into
the PUTT for CASH Contest. Here's how it
works.
Qualifying putting will be done on the
practice green while players move between the 9th and 10th
holes. Each contestant gets two putts. Successful players who
make one putt will have their name entered into a
drawing.
Three (3) names will be drawn for the final
round. The PUTT for CASH Contest, with the three finalists,
will be held immediately after the conclusion of the Golf Open
at about 5:30pm on the 11th Green next to the clubhouse
patio. |

Bramble Format |
|
A bramble starts off just like a scramble: the members of
each foursome tee off, and the best drive is selected. After
the best drive is selected, all players then play their own
ball from that spot-stroke-play style-until each player has
holed out, producing four individual scores. The team score
will be the one GROSS low ball of the group and the one NET
low ball of the group. The net score is obtained by using the
player's handicap. |
